Ernie,
Here is a great NEPG produced Video from the Rad Dad at Westpoint.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sW5DiGVasXI&feature=player_embedded

I would like to also thank Jack Penton and Mark Hyde and KTM USA, they were the faces of the Family Enduro we had on Saturday.

It is pretty neat when the National Enduro riders (Bobbit,Lafferty,Buttrick etc) are on the trail working the checks and chearing the kids and trail riders on.It was a huge success.

Sorry I missed you Ernie,I got to see Gary Ellis he was pit crew for Rachel Gutish a Super Super fast 16 year old girl from his neck of the woods. But their was so many people you could not see everyone.

Please try to put Westpoint on your Race schedule in 2013 or if anyone is interested in joing our NATRA club you can ride near 100 miles of trail year round for a entire family yearly membership of $55.00!!!

Guy's
I want to personally thank Tim Grow and the Treaty City Motorcycle Club for the 1st class event they put on last weekend. It does not get any better than last weekend.

It was a old style straight 24mph Corn Field type enduro and my 1st time racing a real race in Ohio.I was so impressed in the amount of local spectators it brought out.At all the creek crossing and along the trail and road spectators were cheering and waving like crazy,it was pretty cool.

The weather was great--the trails were great---and the club house walls are loaded with 1000's pictures of the Treaty City Club Members all the way back to the 1930's including Daytona etc---it was very cool to look at.

Let me thank Tim Grow one more time.I cannot thank him enough for the help and support in helping myself attend this race.If you look in the encyclopedia under "CLASS ACT" it will have a picture of Tim and Polly Grow. Thanks again Tim for everyting and also Gary Copeland said to send you the same sentiments. We look so forward to doing it again next year.

I hope ya'll can get a AHRMA race sometime in the future.

Thanks "Big Dave" ---so glad you and that Gary Ellis guy could make it down.

And Tim--I just want everyone to know that we Tim (Mavrick) Grow and Joe Murphy an me went on a trail ride Friday afternoon.

All I can say is Tim Grow can ride faster than I can on a new KX250 on a Husky 430 with a sticking clutch in a pair of slippers and shorts!!

I'll let him tell the rest of the story,it's pretty interesting.

Thanks so much Bill and Ernie for the comments. We try to make it as good of a race for all skill levels as possible.

The T-shirt was NATRA club member Gary Copeland on his Combat Wombat when he was 16years old comming down a creek at the Little Harpeth 100 mile National Enduro that was put on by the Don Thava club out of Nashville Tennessee---Hosted by then trailboss Johnny Pegleg Frideli in 1974!!

One other side note we all surprised Gary with the shirts he did not know he was on them till he got to the race :D

Thanks again to all that attended.

Penton Racing Talk / Goon wheelie loopout in the pits

Whew!! [:0] Brian that was a hooot:D:D

I did not know it was that cool[:p] I heard about it out on the trail that someone flipped it in the camp--but forgot about it.

I ain't ever gooneed it it up like that.I was laughing so hard watching the video with my wife, she asked how old you were I had to pause it to wipe out my eyes.I told her you was 10 days older than I was--she thought it was a kid on the bike.

Look up Gary Copeland up at the Reunion Ride let him tell you his story of doing the exact same thing at Tellico Planes Qualifier in 1977 on a IT175 in front of 100's of people!!

Great story to talk about for years.

Hey guys just thought I would let you know who contacted me he through the POG group and said he would like to come to the race and also wanted to know about the Reunion ride.

Could some of you e-mail him and give him a update.

The famous Todd Applegate [:o)] [email protected]

Here is his question:
When is the Event in Tennessee ?

Thanks
Todd A
Columbus, Ohio

BTW< when is the ISDE Reunion ride..?

Is there a class for a bike as new as 1993 KDX 200?
or does it have to be pre 1985 ?

Well Dwight,
AHRMA has a legend racer and use it as a promotion at almost every event either MX Roadrace or offroad if you look at any of the AHRMA races.

Terry lives in Tennessee and has graciously agreed to race our race  in Tennessee.

Brian,
I hope we get some leading up to the race.It is the type of place it can rain bad in morning and in the afternoon it will be dusty dry.Your little Berkie is going to like it.

Jerry,
Glad you are comming.Bring your modern bike for the trail ride.I am glad your grandson is comming but I think the trail ride might be a little to much for him,my son is not riding but he will be down there.Tell him to bring his bicycle.

We will be getting to the trail ride on some plubic roads etc, because we will be avoiding all the trail laid out for the race.It is hard to explain the way the property is laid out.

This is going to be a good race.Dwight Rudder knows as much about the property as anyone in POG.Maybe he will chime in.

Also you will have no problems at all getting your motor home in the camp area.
