Oops !! Sorry but I made a mistake in my previous post. I did install plastic tanks on the 77 GS6's but they were Windsor tanks and not Clarke. I recently bought and used a Clarke tank on my 82 Yamaha IT175 and must have had "Clarke on the brain" when typing that in. I bought the Windsor tanks from Al Buehner quite awhile back and don't think he has anymore of them but you might check with him to be sure. Sorry for the incorrect post.

Thank you Dave!...That would've been a 220.00 mistake had I bought the Clarke Tank.  I'm going to Gary Ellis's advise and just treat the tank with POR-15, and call it a day.  Thanks for your help gentlemen.

Dave,  I have always wondered if the Caswell coating would withstand the flex you get with a plastic tank.  Apparently it is not brittle.  Have you checked for cracking?
Thanks

Mike,
I haven't looked at it recently. I'll take a good look inside the tank next time I'm at the storage unit and will make a post on what I see.
