Are you riding with anyone?  If not, would you like to ride on the same minute?

Gary Ellis and I are riding the same minute and considering the team event.  Want to join up?  Sounds like fun!

Yep.  Great bikes my 76 KTM sat in a barn for more than 20 years I pulled it out, cleaned the carb, changed the oil and it fired after 2 or 3 kicks.

Okay Dammit - somebody needs to finish this story.  I'v started my holiday vacation reading and you guys leave me hanging like this?  What happened to GMS (Gary, Mick, and Ski) team???

Thanks for this thread btw Mick.  Good stuff.

Bob, it wasn't my best day.  My hare scrambler ignition went out the weekend before, changed it out and tuned/adjusted the new ignition and carb in 70 degree weather, then race day dawned at 27 degrees and it wouldn't run right.  Luckily I had a '77 PE250 with me that was for sale so I rode it (illegally because it wasn't tech'd), but it finished day 1 and I had fun.  Sold it that night, too!  NEW STRATEGY:  When trying to sell a bike, take it and race it on day one then sell it on day 2!

I'll let Gary and James speak for themselves........
