Rod - You are right, I remember that too. In fact I asked Kip about it before I placed my Waldron order. That rim came from a different source. Mike knows what size rims to select and will have good advice on spokes as well.

We have been using Walridge for rims and spokes for Triumph and BSA wheels. The hardest part is if he doesn't have them in stock, it could be a long wait. Try to plan accordingly, but a good guy to work with.[^]

Rod, Unfortunately the new designation tire sizes:  IE: 100-110 dont fit like the old  3.50x18 or the 4.00x18.  Cheng shing makes a 3.50x18.  I've installed 4 sets on all CMF framed bikes and had to grind the knobs down on the chain guard side.  The rubber tires will rub the chain guides off too !!
just a small price to pay for running a good solid competitive tire.

Raymond, thanks for bringing up the tire issue. So you're telling me that I'll need to grind down the knobs on that Cheng shing 3.50 x 18 in order to clear the chain guard? I wasn't sure the tire direction to go, this info will help. Thanks

On my other 72 Six Day the previous owner reconfigured the chain guard to allow for a larger tire.
