If your going to have it apart, check everything. Check the rod, crank bearings, have the piston mic'd to see if it needs to be bored.
Also if you had H2O dripping out you need to check everything for rust. Tranny bearings, gears, clutch plates and anything else needs to be rust free. Also on reassembly it all needs to be clean, very clean.New gaskets and oil seals are a given. If you get in over your head, don't be afraid to ask questions.
