RR gas stop

Another question for the RR.....  The gas stop.....

I won't have a crew to bring gas to the gas stop, and there won't be a gas wagon going over so....  

it has been recommended that I carry some pre-measured oil with me, pump in the gas, add the oil, and shake the bike to mix it up.  Does anyone have any negative results with doing it this way? Is there another option?  Thanks, James

That's how most of us "privateer" guys did it 30 years ago.  Don't see why it still won't work today!
