Need 175 kickstart shaft

I have a 79 175 motor that I want to try and get running. The biggest hangup right now is finding a kickstar shaft. The 79 parts manual shows
#510 33 021 000
It is 14mm like the earlier motors, but parts # do not match up. If anyone has any knowledge of what other years would work on this motor or actually has one for a 79 please let me know. AND/OR has anyone ever tried haveing a machinest weld a new end on to one of these and machine down?
