Folks ,
I have a friend that can re-make bars for the early CMF bikes if there is a need. He has all the metal working tools needed and is used to working with 4130.  He crew chief-ed one of these cars and did all the chassis mods and sheet metal fabrication

Pictured below are the bars in question.

Here is a better picture of the bars . They were used on the later Steel Tankers also

They can be in 4130 or another type steel.

2 types of finish were mentioned to me , one was powder coating.
They would be US made and at a better price that the ones now on Ebay.
We are looking for bars to pattern the new ones off of now and i have 2 leads so far.
Would would anyone like to have bars like that available to us in the very near future?

Thanks Thom,
Once Charlie get's a standard set as a base he can make any changes you would like , higher , more or less sweep, the width you would like etc.
You can get them in chrome or powder coated. You can get them in 4130 or another type of steel.
Look forward to your call tomorrow.

Britt,
If you have one for a pattern he can make one up.
Bars made of 4130 chromed made here in the USA would go for $80to$85.
Once he get's a set of the early CMF bars he can figure wall thickness and steel type for non 4130 bars. They would be less as would ones that were powdered coated as opposed to chrome finish.

The bars were also used on the Monarks as well, so there is a market for them too.

I found some old pics in a folder of my 72 125. These are the bars we are looking for folks.

I have a set of the ones that Parmabike gets from Italy that is copied from the 72-76 chrome bars with the 1/4" separation in the center knurling, which he sells on eBay for $109 if they are needed for a pattern. I was considering next spring, with the help of Kip Kern, having Emgo make them, which would get the retail price down under $40 a set, if the chrome is up to snuff. Mike

Please please no chinese ;) . Parma has three types 68-70 years and 71-73 and 73-78 .It would be the 71-73 type. LG

These were the first style that Parmabike offered, which appear to now be listed as 73-78, however I am not sure that is the correct year range because I have bought a few sets of original bars from 72-74 Pentons, and they match another set off of a 1972 Six days bike that I bought with the intention of having them rechromed. Are the ones he lists for 71-73 actually 71 early 72 with the crossbar positioned slightly lower than the ones listed 73-78? I watched some NOS ones sell on eBay fairly recently and they did not sell for what I thought they were worth, which makes me wonder if there is a market for even USA made bars for much over $49.95
From what I have seen at least on eBay, I don't see Parmabikes "almost" correct bars made in italy sell very often at all. Mike

What is wrong with the above Pic of the three pentons? The middle bars look to be husky.
