Maybe shooting in the dark....but thought I would try and ask if anyone could help me out with a 49.5 mm piston kit for a 72 100 cc aluminum barrel.

Have 48, 48.5 and 49 to trade...and even have a 100 cc barrel, aluminum without sleeve.

Victor,I think Glen Adams from Texas bought all Jake's sachs piston kits.If you need his numbers they are (512)947-4536 or(512)398-4152.I'll look at home tonite and see if i have a 49.5 in case Glen doesn't have one.Take Care,

Make sure you guys have the alloy barrel type , with the top ring at the top edge of the piston dome. And they should have ridge lines around the the piston in the ring area. I had ordered the same and was sent the iron barrel type piston; with a high piston dome top that might hit the head inter dome . I could also use a 49.5. LG

Thanks for the quick response...Fosterboy (sorry I forget your first name) would you part with the 49.5 mm and as Larry states will it work for my alloy barrel ?

If so, please e-mail me at [email protected] and we could make the necessary arrangements.

I am tearing down the motor this weekend and it would be perfect timing to bore it and pop in the new piston.

I did contact Glenn, great guy, and he wasn't sure which part numbers are for iron barrels vs alloy barrels...maybe we could identify those differences....I am not that sharp on these issues.

Thank a million !

Larry my box has no number but the piston has a red paint dot like the rest off the pistons I have and it has groves between the rings and below the lower ring.ed
