I'm looking at a 1984 Husqvarna 400WR later today, seller says it needs nothing, short money however there is one caveat, no title. From what I have read these are pretty stout little twin shockers, but the title issue bothers me with all of the monkey business taking place today.

David,when I bought my new Penton in 1972 a bill of sale is all I got.Several of the states I've lived in over the years never had titles issued to offroad,Racing bikes. If the title issue bothers you Prior to buying the bike have the sherrifs dept run a vin check on the bike and if its ok and you want a title you can apply for a salvage title. I,ve six vintage bikes in the barn 4Racers and two vintage enduros Only the enduros are titled by way of salvage title.

Thank you for all of the responses. I did find that for 25 bucks to the registry I can get a new title for my new used Husqvarna.
