When you told me you got the side panels for the comic book guy that he would send the wrong one ,he does not know how they differ from the 250 panel to the 1974 125. He should let folks know what he does not know; will save alot of wasted time . DKWRACER has what you want and is under suppliers on the home page.LG

I much prefer an oval plate on the right side, with that big panel I cant even get my foot on half the peg.

Brian,  Obviously, you have not owned or raced a later 1970's SUZUKI RM.  They had huge bulges on both sides to accommodate the upper shock position which was at a 45 degree angle.   Yes, it took a special technique, or longer legs to ride those machines.

The back heel of my mx boot often gets caught by the right side panel as well on my 250 HS.. I agree about the RM too.. Ive been riding my 78' 125 all week to get the feel of it for the racing season..

I picked a nice side cover recently on eBay motors for short (10.00) money however am thinking the stock side cover will do. Joe the RM is too new, I had a TM.

My Berkshire came with some kind of period aftermarket sidecover on the right side, but it was like the stock one and stuck out too far. My pipe is cut down with the "Cranke" mod so it barely sticks out with the shroud cut off. I took the side panel, cut out the "hump" and with fiberglass made a much smaller "hump" formed around the smaller pipe.

It sticks out even less than it looks in the pictures, I could have made it almost flat but it would not have looked as good that way.

Heck they look purty with the panels, but I'm more of a function guy.I obviously think it is crazy to have to develop a riding style to make up for a design flaw.Oval plate for me.
