So I've seen this sticker on a number of bikes, and so happens my 1975 KTM 250 has one on the original side panel. Was this something that came on the bike, or was it just very popular back in the day? Found a really nice reproduction of it and plan to put it on my bike, but wondered what this history/signifigance to it is/was?

Weltmeister means "World Champion". Gennady Moiseev (USSR) won the '74 250 MX world title on a KTM 250, which is what that sticker commemorates.

Very good. Was this a sticker that was put on from the factory, or was it something added on after the fact? I've just seen a lot of them on bikes, all in the same place. Lead me to believe it might have possibly come on the bikes?

That I dont know for sure, but I would guess it was something the factory put on since he did it on their bikes.

KTM has always after winning a Worldchampionship printet and sometimes placed special W.C.decals on his tanks.

Italian. I had a Bianchi bicycle model that was named Campione del Mondo.
