Thanks Dale, That's one of the better flicks I've seen of 2010 VMD. Even showed some Trials! Hard to think about July when I can barely see out the window, from all this snow.

I just got power restored at 7:30PM today, Friday, after not having any since Tuesday at 7:00PM, so maybe I can get a chance to see it too. Mike
Ice and snow go away, come again some other day...not too soon!

Mike,
Sorry to hear about your power outage. Hope you made it through without any problems. Your story reminds me of a few years ago when the Tulsa area got pounded with a killer ice storm. I was without power for a week during that event and it took me 2 and a half months to cut down all my shattered trees and burn all the debris. This year it's been heavy snow and extreme cold that has me yearning for the warm weather at VMD. We set a new all time snowfall record for a winter season in Tulsa on the morning of Wednesday Feb 9th. You would think that's enough misery for one year but "Old Man Winter" was just getting started. Tulsa smashed the old record low temp for Feb 10th which was -3. The official low temp and new record for Feb 10th now stands at -12 degrees which ecliped the old mark by a considerable margin. That's just the beginning though. The state of Oklahoma all time low temp set back in Jan of 1930 was -26. The city of Bartlesville, OK which is 75 miles north of Tulsa near the KS border set a new official statewide record low temp when it dropped to -28 on Feb 10th. There was an unofficial report of -31 in Nowata, OK which is between Bartlesville and Tulsa. My truck displays the outside air temperature on the rearview mirror and on the way to work that morning it was reading a pretty steady -24 for several miles. I feel sure this was accurate so needless to say IT WAS VERY COLD. The good news is they are forecasting 60 degree weather for us by early next week so that will feel pretty good. They said "Punxsutawney Phil" did not see his shadow this year so lets hope he's correct and spring is right around the corner.

Amen to that! I plan on coating some tanks on Sunday because the weather is supposed to be up in the upper 40's and the shop needs to be around 70 for several hours. That will be a welcome break. I hope they are right about the jet stream getting moved up into Canada for the rest of February at least. Mike
