Looking through some old negatives I found a roll marked Jackpine.  Picture would have been from probably 69/70.  Is anyone able to identify the rider on the right aboard the steel tanker?

The photo with the Three Amigos is just classic.  I about fell outta my chair looking at the guy on the Yamaha.  Beautiful.  Long live "On Any Sunday".

And your opening photo is also very good.   It's just a wonderful photo in terms of it's focal point being the Penton rider and everything kinda being "there".  You can almost read his mind..."I'm gonna make into the Keep On Tracking newsletter win I win this one, by god..."

The Enduro photos were Jackpine 1969.  The gentleman on the Honda 305 is Robert Lisey,  now the President of Young Chemical in Cleveland.  While we attended college in Hillsdale Michigan we rented a farm with tons of acerage where it turned into more racing then studying....ah the good old days.

I remember the days when a dirt bike was a stripped-down street bike.   Just compare the differences between the Yamaha "Enduro" model and the Penton in the photos....   Trials tires, low-mounted fenders, rubber footpegs, vunerable air filter.   joe

Thanks Mike,   I have been a "lurker" for some time.  Yes I have sent my money to be a POG member.  It has been fun to share some of my images and memorabilia thru Dale though he has plenty of his own.  I am glad that he continues to hold up the Fisher racing heritage. And who knows maybe 2 Cheneys will race in the same class some day.  Better start working out now!
