Guys, I'm trying to assemble the flywheel to crankshaft and having trouble.  At first I thought the collar nut may be damaged or corroded so I bought a new nut but still no luck. On closer inspection, it appears there may be some minor damage to the thread at the tip if the shaft.  It looks very minor but the nut doesn't want to go past 1/2 turn or so.

Can anyone recommend a source for a die so I can clean this up?  McMaster Carr shows a M10x1.0 in right hand thread only.  They have LH In 1.25 and 1.5mm. Grainger doesn't show a LH thread.  Thanks, Tom

Go get a thread file. They make them in metric and SAE. Usually one file for 8 different threads. So it is justifiable to get one because they are quite useful.

Just a reminder.   Every threaded part on the right side
of the Sachs engine is: left handed.
Have Fun!
