Another great issue with vintage Penton/Ossa rides and other chat about back in the day with Kevin Novello (editor).  The mag is a little different with Clipper gone but that doesn't mean it's not good.  Some really good photos and text in that magazine.

Question at the end of his "Wheel Spin" editorial:

"...asked if I would trade the technology of toady for the availbility of land back then? I think that I would.  After all, you don't need insane speeds to love dirt bikes, but more land makes the afair a whole lot better."

Steve Salisbury has a great article about the future of off road too.

Nice issue!  Good to see my friend Don Cutler gracing the cover once again (yeah, I know..he's on an Ossa!) The magazine is kind of hit and miss since Clipper left.  Some months pretty good, some months not that interesting, at least to me, but I keep my subscription going anyway.  Gotta help out the little guy, right?  Editor Kevin Novello said he might make it to the ISDT Reunion Ride so we'll see if we can really get him to drink the Kool-Aid!
By the way, ISDT Reunion Ride, Combs, Arkansas, October 28-30, AHRMA pre-entry before Oct 13th or so.  Hope to see you there!

I subscribe also and have enjoyed the new format, especially when they feature a vintage bike test!

I would trade most technology in both the motorcycling field and automotive field in a second. We are blessed with tons of land here to ride on still but it seems every race event has to have an EnduroCross in it.  I came to have fun and ride trails not break my back or bike so I normally don't attend those events.

I sure miss seeing actual different kinds of automobiles on the roads too.  I still remember when you could ID a car just by it's grill at nite or engine sound.  All bikes and autos are "cookie cutter" these days, no one thinks outside the box.  Kinda like the movies and music now days, all repops from something much better long ago.

Oh well, just getting old I guess[|)].  Think I will restore that old Harley 1928 JD 74CI bike like my grandfather had![:p]
