Nick

I have a 1979 Maico 440 that I like but it is very hard to start.  So, I was wondering if anyone had an easy to start (one to three kicks, or maybe I'm dreaming) 1976 to 1980 Penton/KTM 250.  I'm hoping for a motocross version, instead of the enduro version and for it to be a rider that has been gone over and will be relatively maintenance free (I have 5 kids so I don't have much free time).  I'm in Pittsburgh, PA and can be contacted at:

ncalabrese (then the at symbol) hortyspringer (then the dot) com
Thanks.

Nick, if your Maico is hard starting, there are a number of things that can be done to make it a better starter..My 74 440 starts on the 2nd of 3rd kick, even when it is cold out.. as for a 250 KTM I have one that I am finishing to get ready to sell. It has been my bike since it was new and it is still on the orginal bore. It is a fine bike and I have ridden a bunch of races on it and it always starts and runs great. send me an email
