Does anyone have experience with a shipping company that they would recommend? I'm looking to ship a 175 Jackpiner from the midwest to California. Also, I would guess the bike weight to be about 200lbs and if it needed to be crated another 50lbs for the crate. Does that sound about right.

Thanks

There are a couple of ways to get that bike here. One is Forward Air, but it must be crated in an enclosed crate. One other way is to contact Ron at Dirt and Dune. Ron will pickup and deliver to your door. His rate is about $150.00. You can reach him at [email protected]

You can get an online quote from Allied Van Lines to ship uncrated bikes at http://www.alliedvan.com/  They will strap the bike to a special pallet and you only have to drain the gas tank.  There are extra charges for picking up at a residential address as they prefer a business.  Yes, it is likely more expensive than Forward Air, but if you don't live near large city or do not wnat to crate teh bike then I think this is the way to go.
