Sorry, the language gets a little blue when the bikes start piling up.

It's amazing that all of the riders got up and rode off. Here's another video of that same crash.

Wow, that's pretty scarry to watch those bikes fly into the middle of the pile like that with other riders being stuck there.

An example of how a promoter should not run a race event.  Those conditions would be allowed at any track here in the east.  Events like this are what drives the insurance and injury rates up dramatically.

The sanctioning organization should be looking at this very hard.

Hopefully, no one got seriously injured.

The problem was not the promoter or the conditions, it was a desert race, its always dusty. The problem was riders riding faster than they could see in the dust. In both videos the guys wearing the cam stopped in time because they were not riding faster than they could see, it was idiots piling into them from behind that caused the dangerous situation. However, this is why I dont do any Modern racing anymore...kids in the C class trying to win a factory contract at a local HS.

That was no desert race, it was a WORCS event held at Glen Helen with a bunch of Ricky-Racers involved. D37 desert racers know better than to hang it all out in a situation like that. Go on the D37 website and see same pictures and follow the associated comments.

I can't count the times guys have passed me in blinding dust only to crash shortly after-at my age it's not worth it to pin it when i can't see my front wheel.C riders going after the factory ride-that's a good one Brian! After looking at the video the dust isn't that bad until the pileup but...

I think the visible guy standing in the middle of the course waving his arms and the looming huge dust cloud would be the first clue to dial it back.  The fact that they were hemmed in on both sides by the high berms made it difficult to get the heck out of the way.

I find it odd and disturbing that not one of them helped another rider.

Jack, I agree. I watched some of the bikes in the Dakar competition and I saw some of the competitors help each other. However in one mud pit that several riders mistakenly tried to cross instead of helping
each other out it was each man for himself. One Portugese rider did help a fellow rider and was left standing in the mud! He repeatedly asked other riders for help to no avail. I don't know the circumstances but I couldn't have left him standing.

I found 3 additional videos of the WORCS crash (beware...more foul language). In the last video there is actually one rider who gets off of his bike and picks up a Suzuki off of a fallen rider.
