I have a Sachs kick starter lever on which the piece that swings out to push with you foot is really getting sloppy so I want to rebuild it.  I am assuming that there is a spring, wavy washer and ball bearing inside that is worn down.  My question is, how do I get that little chrome ring that holds on the kicker portion off?  There does not appear to be set screws in it, just a couple of recessed pins.  Does this just pry off or do I need to drill out the 2 little pins?

Thanks,

I'm not familiar with those levers but it sounds like there is a roll pin holding the collar on. Try tapping it through with a small  straight punch, or a roll pin punch if you have one.

Drive the pin out and the ring/washers will come off to get to the rest.  CIAO

Thanks guys, just wanted to ask first so I don't muck anything up.

Thanks again,
