Hey guys and gals, I was wondering if there is a good spot to tent camp near Amherst? Someplace with a shower house? I found the Timber Ridge website but all the reviews say avoid it all costs. Is it that bad? Thanks for your time and thoughts, Hank

Hi Hank,

   I haven't stayed here but it looks like a nice place. Vermillion isn't far from Amherst, maybe 15 - 20 minutes. It is a very nice town.  Possibly some others from the area will chime in.

Hi Hank,
 There is a Ohio state park in Wellington (30 min south of Amherst on state route 58) It's been a few years since I've been there but I always thought it looked like a nice place to camp.
