I am available for transport if needed.

Looks to be a pretty good deal.  Wish I was in the market or $$ at the moment.  I've passed the ad to some friends in hope that someone brings it to Indiana!

Gosh, that is a great find. Are those Boge shocks on the rear?

Doug Knight

Made the deal this morning.

Need a little help on shipping ideas out to the left coast.

What's the real story behind the '74 motor? I had a '73 new when I was in the service in Colorado. Was a real match for many 250's when it was new. Truly the only bike I ever missed after parting with it. It's going to a forever home and will be trail riden often. For got to ask, Sun, Akront, or Excel on the rear rim? Still have some old photos of my first one. Will dig tonight and post a few.

Depending on where you go for a shipping quote be prepared for an onslaught of emails.  I looked into having a bike shipped and it was amazing how many companies just happened to have a truck in the area.  Took about three months for the "offers" to stop.  Haven't used them but the AMA recommends http://www.funtransport.com/

Whatever you do, do NOT use the eBay site where shippers bid for your service. Try to contact them individually. I think you might get a better deal.  eBay gets up to $150 of whatever the winning bid - and my impression is that they bid higher to cover that cost.

Someone chime in if I am way off.

Settled on a shipper. Thanks all. Will let you know how it all works out. I could not do this myself as to what I am paying, minimum of 8 days driving time. Besides I have one project nearing completion, partly started on a second, and picking up a third in Oregan next week. Time to join the group. Will post in a few days with pics of what I have done with Pentons in my past on the main group.
