Has anyone ever used the non ribbed 35mm uppers with the ribbed lowers?  The uppers off ribbed forks is about 3/4" longer and not sure if the damping rod from ribbed would work.  Thanks for any advice or help.  Ideally I need an upper that is good and is 23.25"
