Guys:

I need your help with an engine issue. The engine is the Sachs 125 6b. While attempting to set the timing I noticed the flywheel spinning fairly easily on the crankshaft. Once I got the left hand nut off, the flywheel pulled right off, didn't even need a puller.

Problem is the woodruff key is sheared off and what remains is stuck solid in the slot on the crankshaft. Any ideas how to remove it? Anybody run into this before?Any advice appreciated.

Yes you can, the bottom of the key is semi-circled, can use a drift punch right on the edge, it should walk it's way out.....Best of luck:D

Thanks for the advice Tom. The key came out just as you said. I lapped the flywheel this morning and plan on installing it later. I received a new woodruff key from Al B so hopefully I can get it running this weekend.
