Mitch,

Thanks for the update on Malcolm's book. I was getting a little concerned since at the time I ordered my copies, the expected delivery date was for the summer (which is now). I have heard many stories about him and I am anxious to read what you have written.
Having met Malcolm many times over the past 20 years he is right up there with John Penton, his sons, family, extended family and Penton riders. All FIRST CLASS.

Greetings,

Even though this thread was apparently brought forward because most of its original content was being deleted, it brought Malcolm's book to mind.

If any of you have yet to read this gem, and rest assured it most certainly is a gem, possibly Santa could include it with your Christmas bounty for you to find under the tree if you let him know you would like a copy :)

Personally, I found Malcolm's book to be a fascinating read from cover to cover, from his early childhood days right up to the most current times. The many stories of what went on behind the scenes "back in the day" sure provided much insight into the era that many of us lived and fondly look back upon.

I don't know who could have ever filled in for Malcolm if he would not have taken the time away from his business to be a part of "On Any Sunday", as originally he felt he could not do. He is certainly "the real deal" being just as nice and accessible in real life as he comes across as in the movie, and off road motorcycling is so much the richer for that fact.

Thank you Malcolm !

Paul

Got one from their shop, read it cover to cover and it is amazing to say the least.  What a history!

I purchased my copy from Malcolm's shop.
An amazing story with lots of photos. [:p]

He has more lives than a cat. It's amazing that he has lived so long. He should have died numerous times before he turned 20. Lucky for us that he survived and because of his "no fear" escapades, he became the one of the best riders in the world.

The last half of the books talks about his riding Baja and his driving dune buggies. I never understood the 4 wheelers in that desert racing stuff. He talks about it in the book and shares many stories. Anyone being offered a opportunity to ride "shot gun" with him better think twice about it before saying "yes".

I am grateful for having the opportunity to meet Malcolm many times during the past 20 years.
