POG Membership

This posting is to correct some misunderstandings about who is a Penton Owners Group member and who is not.
POG members pay a yearly dues and send it along with a membership renewal form (available for download on this web site).

This web site and it's forums are free and open to the public. In order to do any posting of messages or respond to any postings, you have to register and you are then given a password to do so. In this process you are identified as being a "member" and all "members" are listed under the "members" button on the top right of this page. However, this a misconception in that you are a "member" of the "forums" not a Member of the Penton Owners Group. Hence many people making postings on this site are not POG members.

Penton Owners Group members are not listed on this web site. A membership directory is printed and mailed out to all POG members about once a year and only POG members who want their names printed in the directory are listed. As of this date there are 476 active members. [8D]

One of the many advantages and pluses of being a paid member of the POG is the wonderful newsletter we receive "Still....Keeping Track."  I got mine in the mail today.  Many, many thanks to Al for putting this together!

Al does an amazing job of putting the newsletter together and is well worth the $20 yearly domestic rate dues. He is always looking ahead for profiles and interesting stories for future issues.  If you have something you would like to share please contact him.  If you don't know where to start he can assist you.  The POG "Still.....Keeping Track" newsletter are produced quarterly.

Your initial membership package includes the current newsletter, directory (when available), POG membership card, POG membership sticker, and welcome letter.
