I am looking for a couple of the rubber fender mounts that wrap around the rear loop and attach to the fender with one bolt.  Anyone have any or know where I can get two of them?

The stock 75-76 rear fenders were held on by bent metal 2-bolt clamps like used for home/shop wiring conduit clamps with a rubber grommet, which can be cut from an automotive heater hose. Usually there was just one used, in the center of the fender, with a curved diamond shaped reinforcement underneath the fender with 2 bolts protruding upward through the fender. Mike

The clamp that Mike is referring to is commonly called a two hole J strap for electrical conduit. One of the Penton projects I have had a really bad OEM fender clamp, so I took it to the hardware store to compare it to the two hole J straps and they looked exactly the same. You want the one for 3/4" EMT conduit. You can also mount the sides of the fender with what are called adle clamps or some call cable clamps. Some hardware stores carry these but the best ones I have found are from an aircraft supply place that has a tent each year at Oshkosh AirVenture. The owner told me once he sells on eBay also, so you may want to do a search there. If I find a business card from him I'll check back in with more info.

PS: Found the card B&B Aircraft Supplies, Inc. Web site is //www.BandBAircraftSupplies.com . Like I mentioned, he said he also sells on eBay if that makes it easier for you.

Thanks guys!  I don't like having just the one mount on the rear of the fender.  I prefer to have three; one on the center and one on each side down near the bottom.  It makes the fender much more stable, and stronger when it is full of mud.  I found what I am looking for; Husky fender mounts. I have them on my 175, and they work great!  Thanks again for your help!

The adle or cable clamps I described are very similar to the clamps that Husky used on their bikes, but are hard to find, unless someone is repopping them today. I used a two hole j-strap on my Pentons at the rear of the rear fender and the cable clamps on the side like you mentioned, in order to get a secure mount. I'm using Petty IT rear fenders and they just don't seem to fit like a stock unit did, although I try to use the original front mounts in some way. Where did you find the Husky fender mounts, just out of curiosity?

I found the mounts on EBay.  There are a few more out there if you are interested....
