Today I kicked my Doug W. built 1972 Six Day only to find the motor stuck...Went into panic mode. Gathered myself up...removed the spark plug and gave it a shot of Marvel Mystery Oil. I let it sit a few minutes and rocked it back and forth in gear. It finally released and is now unstuck. It's been stored in an outdoor shed for about 8 months.

My question is what is the proper way to store a Penton for an extended amount of time in an unconditioned shed?

Store it in my shop and will never have that problem again! #128513;

Sounds like you have a lot of moisture in your shed. I would advise putting a small amount of oil in the cylinder if you don't plan to ride for a while. I worked for a Honda motorcycle dealer for many years and when we started a new machine for the first time it always smelled like castor burning, even 4-strokes. So I recommend using that but I would imagine any oil would work.
