Stepping out of the 70's for just a bit. I have acquired a 1980 KTM and would like to gain some knowledge from you fine gentlemen.
Frame VIN 002 14300
1980 built in February?
Engine VIN 0-5002037
1980 125?
Casting clock on engine
December 1979
It is the RV model.I'm leaning toward identifying it as a GS. Although the rear frame hoop is missing. There are mounting holes in the swing arm for a kick stand. Someone cut the side plate ovals off and mounted a 1981 rear fender on it. No headlight. Number plate instead.
Any history, available parts, what parts interchange.
Any info would be appreciated. Doesn't look as if there were many of them here in the states.

Seems like I remember that parts are hard to come by because not a ton were made but that is old memory.

Thanks for the reply Larry. Finding a few bits here and there. Still a following of this model in Europe. Thought it would make a different addition to the 70's bikes I ride and wrench.

Yes, you do not see them and they are kind of unique in several ways.  About 15 years ago I had an NOS tank for one.  Sold it too cheap like most of the NOS stuff back then
