Anyone have any suggestions on restoring modern plastic. I bought a 1997 Jack Piner, #58 of 133 a couple weeks back. I'd like to try and sand the plastic & buff it back out. I'm not sure if that would work or not. Ideas or suggestions appreciated. Buying new plastic at approximately $600 doesn't sound like much fun to me. I'd also be interested in used plastic in good condition....Thank you

Wonder how one of those automotive "Headlight Restoration" kits would work on your plastics? Just a thought.....

Try a product called plastic renew.  It is the proper grit sandpaper ,a liquid , and  the proper steel wool for buffing . I think Dennis Kirk  sells it.i have never used it but it has been around awhile.

I've seen that pc plastic renew around forever. Mixed product reviews. I do think steel wool is necessary because it's pretty rough. Any others keep them coming, Thanks guys!

On eBay there is an outfit that sells a buffing pad with instructions of how to polish plastic.  Works well but you must do the steps and be patient like most polishing.  End result is better than new.
