i just installed a new reproduction seat foam.  it's made of a grey-colored high-density foam. its nice that i can no longer feel the fiberglass pan impact my tailbone on every bump, but this stuff is as hard as a rock! does anyone have an idea on how to soften it up?

Pete. I also have the new foam. I'm not so worried about the firmness as much as how much extra weight I'm adding to the bike. I was thinking about drilling some holes in it to lighten it. Maybe this would have a twofold effect, and soften the seat at the same time. I'm hesitant to do this because of the cost of new foam if I ruin it. Just a thought. Maybe some other POGrs could write about their ideas of the new foam. Gavin Housh
