Hi Everyone,

New Penton owner here.  1974.5 Jackpiner 175.  Kick start lever is missing (as are a few other things).  What are my options?

There is a refurbished old style one on eBay

The one on ebay says "loose knuckle".  Not sure how bad it is.

I'll check with Al on Monday.  Spoke with him on Thursday but forgot to ask about that piece.

Al does not have kickers in stock anymore.

Speaking of "loose knuckle" kickers, does anyone have a source for the spring and ball to repair them?

I have a 14mm I would sell or trade of a 12mm kick start lever, also 74-1/2 Jackpiner.

I believe all 125/175's are 14mm, the 250/400's are 17mm.
It might be that some early 73 250s had the 14mm.

My Jackpiner has a 12mm kick start shaft. Looking for a 12mm lever with good chrome shape. Have a nice 14mm to trade

I always thought the small one was 12mm and the bigger one 14mm but never measured.  Smaller or larger is best way to keep it straight I guess.  Was always under the understanding the the 125, the 175, and the 73 250 all had the small one and all else was the bigger one.

Just to make sure I wasn't slipping from old age, I looked up the non available kickstarter's on Al's site and sure enough 125 and 175 all have 14mm spline shafts and the 250-400 have 17mm, with the exception of some 73 black case 250's having 14mm. Just think how small a 12mm Marzocchi shock shaft is for comparison.
