I sadly rejected my common sense for the cause, registering on Yahoo. That is far more investigation than healthy. I already recieve between 20 - 40 spam mails a day and I cannot under any circumstances accept ONE more per year.
Is there a way to delete the registration
permanently at Yahoo.

Bengt;
Yes there is a way. I also had the same problem and is one of many reasons for not being active with the Vinduro Group.  I no longer remember how to, maybe like near the end someplace.

dirtbike- go to http://www.entrenched.org/

send them an email and ask them; I think they can tell you how to get out of this thing. Also ask them about mailwasher

The VINDURO site is now restricted. Meaning that you must be approved before you are a member. We catch 99% of the Porn Spam that way. The members have been much happier too. No Spam through VINDURO anyway.

Our library is restricted also,
Bet when you down loaded Yahoo. you did'nt go through and uncheck all the things Yahoo sets  you up in. Thats how Yahoo pays for itself.
To get a Yahoo ID you dont have to give them personal info  that can be sold to spamers. But you do have to go through the agreement and uncheck all the boxes that they check buy default on an install.
You can get them to delete your ID.
Sorry it turned out so badly for you,
John

You can still be a memeber of these groups and not recieve any email period. Just look at the messages when you want and reply when you want.

Here is how to do it:

Go to your favorite Yahoo group and join, or if you have already joined log in.
Next go to the link that says edit membership or something like that.
Scroll down and you will find a question with the choices something like.
Individual email
Daily log
No email

Choose no email and you will not be sent anything. You can use the group when you want and do not have to put up with the spam ever.

Just trying to help. I have been a member of many egroups over the years and some get hit worse than others by spam.

Good luck and feel free to email me if you have questions on how to do this.

I have edited my id with false everything.
I just don't like that kind of information gathering under a false cover. I'll guess it's legal, MAYBE but barely. Even if one unchecks some mail, info checkboxes the data will eventually be used or sold in a context that we hardly would agree upon, if we where asked!

I'll just forget about it and leave them to their destiny.

Thanks
