Could someone tell me the length of the steering stem on there 35mm Ceriani setup. I have just aquired a '74 400 in pieces and it seems like the steering stem i have been given is about 15mm too short. The stem i have measures about 220mm top to bottom, when fitted there is no thread visible for the lock nut to fit onto.
Could you tell me in millimetres for us in the metric orientated end of the world!!

Also I have two sets of 35mm Cerianis. One has the tapered top the other is straight.
The Straight set are about an inch longer. Could you tell me what these are from?

If my stem is incorrect, would anyone have one that they would part with?

Who could supply me with a photo copy of te spare parts book for a '74 400 chassis and motor. I am 'Down Under', so any help would be appreciated.

The steel tank Penton's came with the 35mm straight tubes and the fiberglass tank Penton's with the 35mm had the taper top.  I have a couple of the steering stems out, taper tubes, when I get home I will take a measurement and post a note about the length.

Sorry it took so long to reply back, must be getting forgetful.  The steering stem for the taper type 35mm forks is 235 mm long.  That is measured through the center end to end.
