Thanks for all the input guys, There is a race this week end and I want to be ready for it. The plan is to do some checking tonite to see if there is a problem. It very well may be plugged. Bike did sit for a few years but I tried to be careful to turn it over when I got a chance. The pilot jet as I remember was a bit dirty and I needed to clean it. I will give it a good checking over. Thanks

Yee haw !
Thanks guys, It started up first kick. The carb leaks when the gas is left on, guess that I still need make an adjustment to the float. The float had been adjusted to the point that the tickler was rendered uneffective. Thus making it nearly impossible to start the bike on cold days. I did not think that it was possible to render it uneffective.
GC; I tried to do what you suggested but the bottom of the float is not flat so it is not possible to use a square to gauge when it is at a 90 degree angle. I did tried to make sure that the tickler was effective and  still shut off before it topped out against the top. I guess that is not enough.
At least I am making progress.
Thanks again.
