Hi fellow Poggers,

a friend's 1976 125 KTM (MC5) is showing signs of needing a new carburetor. We would love any suggestions on sizes, jetting (2000' elevation) and input on using a Mikuni in place of the Bing. Thanks

I jst researched 125 ktm engine carbs. They originally came with a 32mm,then they went to a 34, and by 78 they were putting 36's on them! Im going to try and a 34 for the one I am going to build. Bings give you more top end, Miks more low end.

Randy Brown ran a 77 125 a few years back with a 36 Lectron. Bike was quite strong. If you go mikuni..Try Sudco they can get you a carb set up pretty close-but is expensive. Maybe they can give you a jetting baseline and get you the pilot, needle main etc. for your carb. 2000ft elevation sound like me in Tucson.( it could be worse-we could be in Denver) I'll have to see how jetting works out next month on my own project too. I have bike parts in the kitchen cabinets where most people have dishes..
7\\" and 4\\" travel? Hmm-that makes 11\\" Hey! I can live with that.
