I need more rebound dampening in my forks. Iam running 23.5 lbs. springs.I think the large holes (bottom or threaded end) affect compression and rebound.I am not sure about the small holes on the top (piston) side. Do the small holes affect rebound more than compresion? Any help would be appreciated.

Might be you are looking to deep.  Make sure your breathers oare working.  The caps with the ball check and spring.  If those are froze up reget a lot of rebound from compressed air.

Thanks Doug. Checking the cap valves was a good idea. However I did that already and their OK.I have determined any mods to the rods will affect both comp.and rebound. So now I am inspecting the valves/bushing that is in the bottom of the fork tube.I have a couple different styles from Alan Buehner.Does anybody know what the function of this valve is?
