Kip did you post a note a while back that we could use the later style plastic toaster tanks from KTM on our 72/73 bikes?
here is a short cut to a page with the Clarke tanks for the MC5's
did you get one of these to fit on a 72/72 Berkie or Six-Days?

i could put my good fiberglass on the shelf for the Reunion Rides and use one of these . With all the rocks we seem to have in the RR's it might be a good idea and save my nice tank.

That wasn't me.  I use a CMF original tank but a not so nice one in case of damage.

I have run one of Clarke's plastic MC5 tanks on my '74 AHRMA 250 motocrosser. The fit of the bottom of the tank to the frame is less than ideal (I used old inner tube rubber as a cushion in order to make it as thin as possible) and Clarke provide a petcock fitting for which I never could find a match. I ended up adapting a Honda Elsinore item.
Other than these problems, the answer is, yes that tank can work on the older CMF hi-breather frames. It is a tough, reasonably priced item. Hope this helps.
