Don Roth, I see that all of your machines have plates and lights.  Would you tell us what your opinion of street riding a Penton is?  Have the police ever questioned you?  Do you have any advise for us who are looking to street ride our Pentons?
Thanks
Paul

PS  I think I have a Penton somewhere here, I will take a better look and get right back!!:D

Paul,
If the Township ever found out the truth on the real definition of "HOW MANY" I could tell you it would make the National Headlines!

I forgot one:  I'm rebuilding a '78 XL-100 Honda for a pit bike.  It's going to have a Penton seat cover, Berkshire tank stickers, and whatever other Penton parts that will fit.  It's my Pentonda project!

Paul..
I ride mine on a rotation, the Berkshire one day, the Piner the next,
etc. As far as local law officials, most of them smile and wave, I
make SURE that headlight tail light and brake light work, and basically just behave myself,(I know, I know, it is hard to keep both wheels on the pavement) I have used International Title Service(//www.its-titles.com)
to get registered and then transfer it to Ohio. Fortunately, Maine will register a vehicle on a bill of sale if it is before 1982($100)

I also run the old Trials Universal-style tires
they have decent wet pavement traction, well better than knobbies.

Insurance is via Progressive, $75.00/yr. No troubles yet, most folks
smile, even the Harley guys, that are in large numbers down here. Hope
that answers most questions,
-don
