Leather tank strap decal?

Have a leather strap in the shop, has approx 1/3rd the image of what appears to be of Historic value, it is in white, with something mentioned, 48th annual. Would like to know the why and how, and if it important to the GS heritage. Thanks in advance [8D]

That is a 48th ISDT Team sticker.  Came on the late 1972 , early 74 bikes.

Randy Kirkbride had some of those decals made up and sent me one, but it was too wide to fit on the tank strap of my '73 HS. I can still see the discoloration of the original, so there must have been a smaller/narrower one, or Randy's were made up wider for some reason?

Dane, I'd love to have one to finish off my HS. Hope you don't mind me e-mailing a request for same?

And did a lot of you POGgers get a very nice holiday card from Randy? My wife was very impressed that some fellow biker out there in vintage Penton land would take the time to send a card! Thanks Randy!!
