Quick Assembly Question?

POG, Once again feel like a knucklehead having to ask this but here goes. Excitedly putting my 74 Six Day back together. Have a 4" diameter rubber O-ring and can't figure out where it fits? Sure I'll have more questions to come. Catalogued all the parts in separate bags and boxes and labeled them but missed the O-ring!? O boy!, can't wait to see the finished product! Been squirreling away all sorts of new/new old parts and just need a tool bag and a CEV tail light to finish her off. As always, thanks,

Chris,theres a rubber seal in the viscinity of that diameter (4")that fits around the front brake drum backing plate to seal out the elements.  Its not just an O ring though ??  Theres also a rubber seal around the head light bezzel.  Help us out,
clue us in a little more [8D]

If your machine was a MX model it could have held the front number plate bracket in place.
