Fix or part?

I recently found a 1979 175 KTM. It's missing the pipe and carb, has a bad rod and missing piston. Nice marz. forks and ohlin shocks. Stock plastic tank and bad seat cover. The tranny shifts, no motoplat.
My question: Should I restore this bike or part it out to help other peoples projects and raise some money for my 1974 Jackpiner project? I hate to part out bikes that could be restored, once they're gone thats it. On the other hand, it could make the difference between someone else getting the parts to finish their bike. I really have too many projects now, but I do have lots of storage space.

Restore it or sell it to some one that will. The bike is not missing too much.

When I started restoring my 72 it was nothing more than a few boxes of parts.  A year later and its nearly complete and is going to be one sweet ride.

Dont part it unless you have no other choice. Like was said before every one parted out is one less we can reclaim. Be patient.[]

Fix it or sell it to sombody who will. It sounds pretty much complete and would make a nice project. Im with the rest who have posted here, once it's parted its gone for good.

Additionally, for many reasons a 79' vintage KTM is not worth much when sold as an assortment of parts. (at least using Ebay as a reference)

Does your 1979 KTM have the original plastic sidecovers with the number plate with no slots in them? If you or any other POG member has a RH side one in good original condition, I would offer to pay for having it shipped to DC Plastics to have a mold made so that there will be availability of long sought after side covers. As we enjoy this Chistmas eve and holliday season, Don Claerhout of DC Plastics has managed to duplicate the LH 1979 side cover with number plate, and a RH 1980 slotted version. I am sending him a LH 1980 slotted version, a 1980 front Acerbis original fender, and a 1980 250 rear MX fender without number plate. He is working on the slightly different 1979 250 MX rear fender without number plate and all he will need is a RH 1979 side cover with number plate to complete both years in plastic.
