Lectron Carbs

What is the best way to clean a lectron carb? I have one from a 1977 GS6 175 Penton that has been sitting for 20 years.

Put it in Pine-sol for a couple days. But take all rubber parts off.

Straight or mixed?

How about tuning the Lectron carbs from a 1977 GS6 175 Penton?
I've got it running but the throttle response is sluggish and the plug electrodes are all black. which was a new NGK B8HS. Trying to Google tuning of the Lectron carbs but only showing the new age carbs with power jets.
