I am replacing fork seals in a set of 1979 KTM 250 38mm Marzocchi forks and they only have one fork seal in each fork leg, as do the forks on my 1980 250 KTM as shown in my 1980 chassis parts manual. I don't have one for 1979 yet, but In my 1977 & 1978 250 chassis parts manuals there shows 2 seals in each fork leg. The old seals were too thick for 2 to fit in each leg, but the new seals I got from AL are thinner and 2 are just thin enough to stack a pair of them in each fork leg. My question is, should I put in 2 on each leg, or should I only use one in each fork leg? I am ready to paint the fork tubes and I want to install the seals before I paint them. Thanks for your assistance.

If you have the thin seals, use 2 in each leg, thick one's you only need one.
