I do not know if any POG members are bidding on the 125 Siz Day that is on ebay right now. The price is way high and the bidder with 0 feedback is also bidding on the Sherpa T from the same seller. Something does not look right about all this.

OUCWBOY

Not to mention that the seller is breaking Ebay and PayPal rules by making the buyer pay the PayPal fees.

Hi all,
I too was surprised at the price of this machine and some of the wording in the description. I've come across two scams for bikes and quads on ebay recently so who knows. Not sure if this one is a scam or not. Could be targeted to take advantage of someone traveling to Daytona for bike week since Jacksonville was the location. Bottom line is error on the side of caution.

Someone reported this to ebay and the auction was removed!?!?!?!?!

I was going to buy the Sherpa T and was interested in it because I am 50 miles from Jacksonville. I saw the BS going on and stopped bidding. I also asked to see the bike and no responce.

ebay pulled an auction on a CZ that I was looking at because the seller included the PayPal fees.

OUCWBOY

George,
It is against Ebay and PayPal Policy to charge the buyer the PayPal fees. If a seller uses PayPal, they must include any anticipated PayPal fee into the starting selling price. Once it is established that a listing is in violation of any Policy, the remove the listing. If a seller is in violation 3 or 4 times, they will be banned Ebay and or PayPal.

As a casual observer on this site and e-bay I noticed the same thing.
Price seemed unusually high and two bikes removed for the previous
mentioned rule breaking.
I occasionally see bidders upping their own bids for no apparent reason, newbies that don't know what they are doing I guess.
I've never done e-bay but that just looks suspicious or naive.
Maybe it's just me but some bikes (not just Pentons) look pretty
good but will have a rusty area on part of the pipe or footpegs and
swingarm nut in the case of the CZ. Haven't these people heard of spray paint or a wire brush? It would give a slightly better impression of the bike if it didn't look like it had been outside.
Just my 2 cents.

I got a note from ebay saying the seller's account has been suspended

Jim A,

I don't know about bidders upping their own bids, but I have seen that when you up your maximum bid, your name is added to the bidding list again. I went throught that last week buying a chain saw. When I upped my maximum bid, my name again appeared above my name on the list, but the actual bid didn't increase.

It looks like this bike still sold for a high price. Other than a good pipe it doesn't look that great. Rusty wheels, no lights, no heat shield, wrong shocks, wrong fenders, mikuni carb. All the hard to find stuff is gone. Whats up [?]

I bid on it and was truely amazed at the money it brought. I wonder if it was legit.[xx(]

I have wondered at times about the amount of "shill" bidding that is/could be going on.  For those that don't remember the trick from the movies, you would get your buddy to throw a couple of bids in to jack the price up and if they accidently "won" it, the sale actually didn't take place but, looked like it did.  I think it's BS but some folks have no problem what-so-ever doing it.  Thoughts?
