Just got a 1973 Six Days. Feels like the kick starter doesn't want to return. When I put it in gear and roll it the kicker rotates and when it hits the frame it starts clicking when the bike is rolling. Ever had this problem and what is the fix. Lectron carb with plastic bowl on this one. Did they work?? Radelli rims and Magura levers. Is this standard desirable stuff. 6B motor. Thanks for any info. This is my first Penton.

Steve, Welcome aboard, sounds like the Kick Start stop bolt was removed and the spring lost it's tension.  Now the starter gear rotates with the transmission, not good.  Need to split the cases and check out the interior to see what the problem is.  Could be something else too so need to check it out prior to starting.  Bike sounds normal with exception of the Lectron.  A lot of folks like them though;)  Get a Clymer M427 Sachs manual or a Penton shop manual from Al B.(Supplier)  Have Fun!  CIAO
