Just finished watching a movie about the Baja 1000 called "Dust to Glory" produced by Dana Brown. Good flick, well worth the time.

Great movie to give you an idea of what long distance desert racing is like. For me, it was a thrill to see a legend like J.N. Roberts racing.

Just a note for people on the subject of J.N. Roberts and other Greats.  J.N. was king of the desert when there was no suspension.

INDUSTRY NEWS - Legends of Baja to be Inducted at TrailBlazers Banquet

Baja legends Larry Roeseler, Dave Ekins, J.N. Roberts and Ron Nelson, and motorcycling pioneers Bud Ekins and Edison Dye have been selected to the TrailBlazers M.C. Hall of Fame and will be inducted during the club's 62nd annual Hall of Fame Banquet at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles, California, on April 1, 2006.

Bud Ekins is the 2006 recipient of the Dick Hammer award, the highest award that can be bestowed on a TrailBlazers member.

All of the inductees are slated to attend the gala event, for which only 500 reserved tickets will be sold. The festivities begin with a huge antique and vintage motorcycle show at the Petersen, starting at 3 p.m., with a "cocktail buffet-style" dinner scheduled for 6 p.m. The induction ceremony begins at 8 p.m. Tickets are $70 each, with discounts available for TrailBlazers members.
