Hello all,
I am trying to find a Bing 54/38/101 for my 76' MC5 400. Also what is the difference between a 54/38/101 and 54/38/102-103 etc? Thanks.

Hi Rob, Im no carb expert but I think the last number designation is the application on the maniflod side of the carb.  Some have built in clamps that fit over  a manifold (female). and others have a rubber nount that fit into the manifold. (male)

I have bought a bunch of used Bings and invariably they are worn out and don't work. I have converted all my 1974 and older Pentons to Mikunis and am in the process of converting all my 1975 and newer Pentons to Lectrons. I will be gone for the rest of the week, but can help you with these conversions after I get back.

Hey guys,
I called the carb doctor at the Bing agency a year or two ago and asked plenty of those same model number questions.  Should have written it down because he was a wealth of knowledge.  Give him a call.
