Needed ?504 seat 82-83 black or blue?

I have 2 1982 or 83 seats. They are the same, but one is black and the other is dark blue. Also included with some other items that my brother bought thinking he could use it on his 78 MC5 seat, was a new black seat cover for these seats. $ 50.00 buys two good seats with an extra new black seat cover. Pictures sent. I don't know if there is a different version for a 420, or if it uses the same seat. Donny Smith may have a part # reference on 82-83 seats. Mike

In 1982 they list 2 different seats one is #542.07.040.000 and #564.07.040.000. They look the same, except the 564 seat has a longer piece on the front of the seat where it would come up to cover part of the tank. In 1983, they list three seats, the two listed for the 1982 and another one that is more curved and looks more like a modern seat and that number is 542.07.040.100. I don't really know if all or which one would fit your bike. If you email me at [email protected] I will scan the pages for you to look at.
