Greetings from Sunny Colorado! While attending a local Harley show, and admiring a Jawa on display, a local in Boulder Colorado, began a discussion about motorcycles in general. We talked about NSU's and Jawa's, he apparentley is very knowledgeable re: Jawa's.

Tom,  My favorite Jawa's were the six day bikes.  I remember my neighbor, a Jawa dealer, around 1970, getting in two of the less than 20 manufactured 420 six day banana framed Jawa's.  Both bikes are still within 30 minutes of my house.  I would love to own a Jawa six day machine, unstoppable they were![]

I saw a sweet Jawa at the ISDTRR the other week.....had a crazy enclosed chain and sprocket assembly. That was so odd to me that I took a pic of it for preservation.

Steve,  That is a six day bike, the MZ's were the same with the enclosed chain.  Very smart idea!
